Mixing and Mastering music
I haven't seen a thread for mixing and mastering music, (Or unless I'm just blind haha) so I thought it'd be nice to have one. A thread to discuss your mastering techniques and tricks.

Personally, when I master tracks I always have my master channel empty untill the song is finished. (I also immediately take off the fruity limiter when I start new projects). Parametric EQ 2, and Fruity Reverb 2 are probably my most used FX that go into my mixer. Almost every channel will have those effects in it haha. I found a real good way to really get a nice pump from your kick, is to add a Fruity Compressor then select the preset Drums it really makes it nice and strong. (Although you might need to adjust volume levels after compressing)

Although I often have trouble with mixing on the master channel. Lately I've been putting a mulitband compressor on it, then using the preset Mastering 2.4db. Or sometimes I use Ozone (The thing is ozone really likes to eat up CPU haha xD)

I made a thread about it some time ago: http://flinside.com/index.php/topic,902.0.html
People could post screenshots of their preset settings but noone did... but yeah like you said: remove fruity limiter and don't have anything in master channel.. I also put the soundlevel to 75% because that makes the sounds better (hard to explain why in english)... I have special Saw and Kick presets in EQ2 that I would like to share without putting pictures online

Re: Mixing and Mastering music
I've Heard that the "T-RackS" VST is a good program to mix and master your music in FL Studio. . .I have it, but I haven't installed it yet.

Re: Mixing and Mastering music
Heey i've got a problem on FL and I think that comes from mastering so i talk about that here...

My problem is when i've got a lot of channels and I press play just to hear the song, the sound is making lil' sound like : "CRPL CRPL" (sorry for the bad explanation but i'm not english)

So what do I have to do ?

Thank's  Wink
